The Hagemann-Pohl Story

Some things in life you do because you have to – nothing more, nothing less. This story is about a person with fuel in their blood and who has become addicted to the M1 project to this day – and others, who allow themselves to get carried away by his and the M1’s lack of compromise. Borderline emotions – life doesn’t get any more intense.

From autumn 1978 to the end of 1981, the BMW M1 with the internal designation e26/1 was produced as a
super sports car
produced by BMW. M stands for motorsport

A personal statement, Axel Hagemann

The early bird catches the worm – but the second mouse gets the cheese!

This motto only works if you are different from the others, think differently and also act differently. Maybe even a little crazier! We work here with vehicles whose personality and character make up a large part of the whole – it is only normal to experience a constant roller coaster of emotions.
Feelings between sky-high joy and total frustration. Nothing stays as it is and everything turns out differently than planned. For me, that’s what makes racing so fascinating.
My personal motivation? The joy of driving.

Why do you drive M1, Achim Pohl?

The M1 is tough, honest and uncompromising.
A real personality. Simply “reduced to identity

What is your inspiration?

To let the world fly, to feel yourself, to be free. Racing is the merging of two personalities – the driver and the vehicle.

The BMW was built between 1978 and 1981. During this period, a total of only 453 vehicles were produced. Worldwide, about 331 examples are still known today. Of these, 42 are in use as Procar versions in races. The others on the roads of the world on the road.

The Hagemann-Pohl Story

There are things in life that you do because you have to – no more and no less.

This story tells of someone who has gasoline in his blood and is addicted to the M1 project to this day – and others who simply let themselves be carried away by his and the M1’s uncompromising nature. Emotion at the limit – more life does not exist.
